Business Process Outsourcing (BPO): The Key to Your Company's Efficiency
20 March 2024What to remember when setting up a JDG?
Do you dream of starting your own business but don't know where to start? A sole proprietorship (Sole Proprietorship) could be the perfect solution for you! Although the registration process may seem complicated, you don't have to worry - thanks to this article, you will learn everything you need to know about starting a sole proprietorship.
What exactly is JDG?
Before you start registering, it is worth understanding what a sole proprietorship is. It is a form of business in which you are the company. Your name and surname are a mandatory part of the company name, which means that in practice you are registering yourself as an entrepreneur. In a sole proprietorship, there is no separation between your money and the company's funds, which means greater responsibility, but also greater freedom in managing finances.
Registration of a sole proprietorship (JDG)
JDG registration is relatively simple and free of charge. All you need to do is fill out an application available on the CEIDG website and submit it online or in person at the city or commune office. Before you start registering, however, you should think carefully about a few issues:
1
Company name
This can be your name or a name you come up with yourself. Remember that the name must be unique and legal.
2
Company address
This can be the address of your office, shop or even your home. However, it is worth remembering that it is necessary to document the right to use this address.
3
PKD code
Each type of activity has a PKD code assigned to it, which must be provided in the application. You can provide several codes, even if you do not plan to perform certain activities immediately.
4
Form of taxation
Choose the form of taxation that suits your business. You can choose between taxation according to general rules, a lump sum or a flat tax.
5
VAT registration
If you plan to sell goods or services subject to VAT, you must register for VAT.
6
Bookkeeping
Decide whether you will do your bookkeeping yourself or outsource this task to an accounting office.
7
Bank account
Set up a personal bank account to be used for managing your company's finances.
8
Social Insurance Institution
At the beginning of your business, you do not have to pay ZUS contributions, but remember that you will have to do so over time.
After completing the application and submitting it to the appropriate office, you can start running your own JDG company
Remember, however, that registration is just the beginning – for your business to thrive, you will need to properly manage finances, marketing and customer service.
Accounting for the new JDG
After registering your companies, you need to take care of bookkeeping. You can of course go to an accounting office and sign a contract. Before you do that, however, consider whether it would be better to choose convenient software that will allow you to take care of your own accounting. With a small scale of activity, it will not be complicated and you will definitely manage! And the costs? Definitely lower compared to an accounting office.
