May 17, 2024
There are many challenges and problems in society that require joint action and involvement of the local community. By establishing an association, we can act together.

The Association is an important tool in this process, enabling effective implementation of common goals and ideas. Their mission is not only to build a strong community, but also to promote social, cultural and educational values.
Why is it worth establishing an association?
Establishing an association can bring many benefits to its founders and to the community they operate in. Here are some reasons why it is worth taking on this challenge:
Common mission and purpose
The association brings together people with similar interests and values who strive to achieve a common goal. Working together, you can more effectively achieve your goals, gaining support and motivation from other members.
Impact on the community
Associations can have a significant impact on the local community by engaging in charitable, educational, cultural or social activities. By organizing events, campaigns or projects, they can change their surroundings for the better and influence the lives of residents.
Building a network of contacts
Working in an association allows you to establish valuable contacts with people with different experiences and skills. It is a great opportunity to expand your professional and personal network and exchange knowledge and experiences.
Personal and professional development
Getting involved in association activities can be a great way to develop personally and professionally. You can learn new skills, develop leadership and organizational skills, and gain valuable experience in working with people and managing projects.
We know the reasons why it is worth establishing an association, let's take a closer look at the features that characterize it.
Features of associations Associations are distinguished by several key features that define their functioning and essence:
- Voluntary - An association is a group of people who voluntarily decide to work together to achieve common goals and ideas. Everyone can freely join the association, as well as leave it, expressing their will and commitment.
- Self-government - The association has its own management and self-government system, independent of external entities. Decisions are made by the association's members, who have the right to independently elect their authorities and direct its activities.
- Durability - The association exists regardless of changes in the composition of the members, which means that even if members leave, the association can continue its activities. What counts is the idea and mission, which are permanent and constantly present in the activities of the association.
- Non-profit purpose - The association is established with the aim of achieving common goals and ideas, not for the purpose of achieving material profits by its members. The main goal of the association is to promote social, cultural or educational values, and to support social and local initiatives.
Types of associations Associations can be divided into two main types, differing in form and functioning:
- Registered - They consist of at least seven people who adopt the statute and elect the board. They are subject to registration in a special register of associations, which gives them certain rights and obligations under the law. An example would be a scientific association that conducts research, organizes conferences and publishes scientific papers.
- Ordinary - They are a simplified form of association, which requires only three people. They operate on the basis of regulations, and are not subject to registration in the National Court Register. This form is more flexible and less formal, although it does not have legal personality. An example would be local groups that engage in social, cultural or sports activities at the local level.
Associations, regardless of their type, are an important pillar of local communities, supporting the development of local initiatives, promoting culture and education, and integrating the community. Through associations, people can engage in various activities for common values and ideas, thus strengthening social ties and supporting social and cultural development.

[…] CEIDG registration applies to individuals running a sole proprietorship and partners in civil partnerships. An important aspect is that CEIDG does not cover legal entities (e.g. capital companies), which must register their activities in the National Court Register (KRS). […]
