Accounting office – but which one?
December 20, 2022"People will judge you by your appearance", or how to make a good first impression.
Virtual office will support you
Today's article is about a slightly different issue, but one that is inseparable from the topic Virtual Office
When preparing for a job interview, a company training or a business dinner, probably each of us wonders how to make a good impression on the interviewers. The virtual office will support you with its experience of talking to different companies.
For many people, this is a source of persistent stress because our near or distant future depends to a large extent on what others think of us. interview, In a training room or at an official banquet, we meet a large number of people we did not know before.
The task we have set for ourselves - to gain the approval of the newly met community seems difficult. However, we should not lose our heads. It is worth calmly familiarizing ourselves with a few tips that will make our first contact much easier.
Studies have shown that we judge people within eleven seconds of meeting them.
A positive assessment is mainly made up of: recognizing the interlocutor as credible and aroused sympathy. After the above-mentioned time, it is not easy to change your image in the eyes of the other party. Most of us, completely unconsciously, judge others based on cultural or family patterns. Women perceive well-dressed men better, employers perceive people who are self-confident (but not overly so!).
People who meet by chance at parties or receptions - people who are smiling and friendly. The first impression can be misleading, but it is worth taking care to be received positively at the beginning of the acquaintance because it will certainly affect later relationships.
Virtual office in Krakow will help you make a "good first impression".
Nicolas Boothman in the book Get Liked in 90 Seconds (or Less!) distinguishes three stages of creating bonds with other people:

1. Getting to know each other

2. Establishing contact

3. Communication
Although it may seem difficult, we should try to connect these three stages in a natural, fluid way. A virtual office will help you make a good impression.
Getting to know each other
The first seconds of getting to know each other are about introducing yourself to both parties. It is important to say your name loudly and clearly with a broad smile. Such a beginning will arouse positive feelings in the interlocutor, suggesting that you are a friendly, trustworthy person. The exchanged handshake should be firm, strong, but not aggressive. This will convince the interlocutor of the other party's self-confidence, credibility, and sincerity.
Also important is an open body posture (arms spread out, not folded across the chest), a head pointing straight ahead (instead of timidly tilted down), and friendly eye contact. A lack of eye contact can evoke associations with a lack of sincerity or excessive introversion.
Important note - during a conversation, remember not to invade the personal space of the other person. According to Edward Hall's division, there are four levels of personal distance: intimate, individual, social, public. Newly met people are allowed by the average person to the social zone, which is approximately from 120 to 360 cm.
Establishing contact
At this stage, it is important to show interest in the other person. The first questions to come up may be about origin, hobbies, interests or, in the case of meeting at a mass event, exhibition or training, polite questions about impressions. It is good manners to listen carefully to the answers to the questions. Referring to them only when the other person has finished speaking.
According to research, people are more likely to like people who address them by their first name. This can be a good way to break the ice. However, remember to keep the version of the name that the other person introduced themselves to you. Diminutives can seem too intimate and automatically encourage a slight distance and withdrawal from contact, while more formal forms can give the impression of hostility.
Communication
This is the final stage of creating initial bonds. It usually consists of a conversation on a neutral topic that connects both parties in some way. It can be a common interest, place of origin... Complimenting the outfit of a newly met person. Compliments, although sincere, unforced and not too frequent, help to establish a positive relationship.
During initial conversations, it is important not to enter into controversial topics that may lead to disputes. Do not ask too personal questions and respect the opinion of the other person, even if it is diametrically different from yours. Throughout the conversation, it is good to address each other by name from time to time with a smile.
The methods listed require practice, so don't be discouraged if something initially goes wrong. The aspect that is completely up to us is the outfit - it should be neat, reflect our personality and, importantly, appropriate for the occasion.
The first impression is very important, but it is important to remember that it is not the final one. Therefore, it is worth taking care of a positive image throughout the duration of the relationship, both friendly and professional.
